Photographer Rudy Calpo brings an artistic sense and an architectural eye to his works.

Accomplished in watercolors and freehand drawing, he sees color, light, and play in his subjects. An architect by trade, his penchant for creative angles always keeps the perspective interesting. Rudy, a long-time Sacramento resident, travels to capture the character of places near and far.

Rudy realized a lifelong dream of Africa last year when he adventured through Tanzania, Kenya, and Zanzibar, connecting with the places more deeply than he could have imagined. Rudy was able to capture in his photographs a glimpse of the way he saw Africa: the innate beauty of its genuine people, their vibrant cultures, the vastness of the landscape and its rich wildlife - all part of the amazing experience of Africa.
